Here are our top school websites launched in April 2019.
The new Knole Academy school website is just stunning. As soon as visitors arrive on the homepage, they’re greeted with a visual showcase of testimonials from five of the school’s students talking about what Knole Academy means to them. The school’s House System is explained, with a soft background image providing a backdrop for the text detailing how students compete to win house prizes throughout the year. We adore the ‘Latest Stories’ section, which includes a live News feed from the school’s various social media channels. All in all, the new website is rich, engaging, useful and hugely enjoyable to browse!
For parents searching for primary schools in Redhill, St Matthews Church of England Primary School has a LOT to offer. The new school website reflects the abundance of educational experiences and opportunities available to help children develop spiritually, socially and morally as well as academically. A particuarly useful feature of the new website is the dedicated section for ‘Current parents‘ and ‘Prospective parents‘ at the school. These sections ensure that information is perfectly tailored to the right audience, so visitors get the very best from their experience online.
The first thing you’ll notice upon visiting the Chiswick School website is the highly effective ticker tape style notification bar at the top of the homepage. This clever little tool provides the ideal platform for the school to share important or time critical news with parents, without detracting from the experience on the rest of the page. The ‘Wider Learning’ section gives parents a sense of the impressive extra-curricular activities and careers programme on offer at the school. There’s also a dedicated Sixth Form area, with all the information pupils and parents need to know when making that all important decision!
The Abbey School is a strong and vibrant special school with places for children who have learning difficulties and additional needs. The school really celebrates its students and staff and this is reflected in the powerful imagery, carefully crafted copy and well considered layout of the new website. The ‘Parents and Carers’ area provides a comprehensive overview of academic, social and extra-curricular information, whilst ‘Life after the Abbey‘ talks about the fantastic Careers Programme on offer at the school.
Nexus is the district special school for Tonbridge and Malling. The new school website is inspiring, dynamic and a real joy to navigate. With a few smart design tools, some interactivity and really strong imagery, the website is a great digital representation of the school and shows off what makes it so unique. ‘Our Stories‘ on the homepage, includes a mix of news articles and social posts. It’s linked to the News page and Facebook feed so it’s updated in real-time and includes the very latest information.
Langley Park Learning Trust is comprised of five schools in the Beckenham area who possess a shared educational ethos and a vision for sharing best practice in all areas. The Trust website reflects this ethos, presenting a slick and professional overall design coupled with a friendly, personal touch to each section. The homepage is particularly powerful as it includes visual links to all the main sections a visitor might wish to see, from details of member schools and an introduction to the trust leadership team, to key information and a dedicated recruitment area.
The Compton school is an Ofsted Outstanding mixed comprehensive school based in Barnet. The school statistics section displayed on the homepage celebrates the huge academic success of this fabulous school, and Latest News showcases the huge array of social and sporting activities on offer to students. Integration of Staff Mail makes it easy for teachers to log in to their email account via the website, whilst the ‘Students’ section provides an easy gateway for pupils to access their password protected portals via a secure login page. In short, this visual school website seamlessly combines the ‘must-haves’ with the ‘nice-to-knows’, so it caters for each audience in an engaging way.
