Best school websites – September 2019 showcase

The Cleverbox team had a busy September, launching 22 of the best school websites 2019 we’ve seen this year (in our humble opinion…)

For Primary schools and Academies to Secondary schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, we create beautiful bespoke school websites that deliver real results. All Cleverbox school websites are responsive by design and include some really nifty features to make them stand out from the rest!

Take a look at our best school websites from September 2019.

The Westwood Academy

A really delicate, elegant design characterises the school website for The Westwood Academy. The use of a muted colour palette and carefully chosen font combine beautifully to paint a picture of this super Secondary school in Coventry.

According to the Head teacher, “We have the most dedicated, experienced and talented teaching staff that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.” Inspiring words about this wonderful academy.

Langley Park Primary School

At Langley Park Primary School in Beckenham, staff work hard to create a caring, aspirational and safe environment for everyone to thrive. They want the very best learning experience for all of the children so that they are well equipped to succeed in the world as they grow into adults.

It’s the stunning photography on the site that makes this one of the best school websites. Images of pupils and staff enjoying the various activities on offer at this wonderful school give an instant impression of what life is like at Langley Park.

The Misbourne School

These days, all the best school websites use a responsive school website design so they’re optimised to work brilliantly across all devices. With over 50% of all searches taking place on mobile phones, it’s more important than ever that your school website is designed with mobiles in mind.

The Misbourne School website includes a clever menu design that lends itself to looking great on device, especially mobile phones.

Oaks Park High School

With many high schools in Surrey clambouring for parents’ attention, it’s critical that the best school websites offer something unique to catch attention immediately.

The new website for Oaks Park High School (part of the Cheam Academies Trust) achieves that by using embedded video on the homepage, which comes to life as soon as visitors arrive on the site!

The Marsh Academy

At The Marsh Academy, students enjoy school and achieve in a safe and supportive environment.

The first thing you’ll notice upon landing on The Marsh Academy school website is the prominent logo in the header. It’s so important to make sure your school website is branded and presents a consistent look and feel throughout the user journey.

StEdmund Campion Catholic and Sixth Form School

St Edmund Campion Catholic and Sixth Form School is steeped in values and tradition and has served the local and wider community with pride and passion for over forty years. Each year the school is oversubscribed, so staff are understandably very proud of the school’s reputation in the local community.

A key feature of this website is that the main menu is displayed prominently across the top of the website and remains visible at all times when scrolling down or navigating to other pages within the site. This makes it very easy to jump to other section of the school website at a simple click or tap!

Belmont Castle Academy

Even the best school websites need to cater for policy documents and key information in order to stay compliant. The new school website for Belmont Castle Academy makes clever use of our key information module, which allows the school to organise all policy documents into categories so they’re easier to find and view.

Rather than displaying everything in a seemingly endless list, policy documents are shown in clearly marked boxes on screen. So anyone (including Ofsted inspectors!) can identify and view relevant documents with ease. This section is all managed via our easy Cleverbox content management system.
